I thought you said you were a very experienced and good breeder. Why are you offering stud services for a three pound female if that is in fact what you are doing. No breeder in her right mind would do that. maybe we all misunderstood your post. I'm stopping now before Wylies Mom deletes me!

Good grief my dad used to raise hunting hounds and even he wouldnt breed a small dam to a larger sire and they are very hearty dogs. I cannot believe a reputable breeder would even offer to breed this little girl

Now that everyone has blasted me.this is my reason.if they call i ask alot of questions and i have to see the little girl.also i request and ultra sound of the dog from the vet.this way,we find out if she is able to have and deliver the puppies.i am a very pickie breeder.sorry i ofended all of you.

I was not trying to be rude sorry if it came across that way but even most of us laypeople know you dont breed a dam that tiny without major risks.

So if this 3 lber was to have an Xray by the vet and her hips were able to deliver puppies you would have allowed these people to breed these very tiny Yorkie? I am just trying to wrap my brain around this. I personally have no breeding experience but from what I have read over and over here and elsewhere it is my understanding that the male should always be smaller than the female. You said in your original post that you have a 5 lb male stud. By my calculation your stud is 2 lbs larger than the female. Still trying to understand why you are upset with the responses that you received

Im not trying to be rude either but what good is the ultrasound if your male is 5 lbs and that female is 3, how do you know the pups wont come out HUGE. Do you know their bloodline. What if she only has 1 or 2 pups that means c-section because the pups WILL be too big. Are you willing to risk that tiny mothers life.....

The reason your post was deleted is because it was soliciting your stud service, which is not allowed per YT rules. You were in violation of the guildlines for this forum. It wasn't anything personal, just enforcing the rules....see #11.http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...uidelines.html

We all have our own opinions as to what consitutes a good breeder. I feel it is safe to say most YT members wouldn't consider anyone willing to breed a 3.5 lb female--or anyone willing to help them out--as falling into the category of a "good breeder."

well said! no matter what the xrays of her pelvic area says,you never kno how big the pups will get and i personally would not take the chance of losing the female and I dont think a good breeder would either

Why would you even want to evaluate her when he said flat out she only weighs a little over 3lbs. This just infuriates me and you call yourself a breeder!!!!!!!!! You are not picky. You should not even be calling yourself a breeder.
