| It is dangerous to breed a 3.5 pound yorkie even for the most experienced breeders. To breed a female yorkie at that size you would have to weigh the risks. The risks are at least an 80% or higher for a C-section, it doesn't matter if the male is smaller, it matters if the females pelvis is large enough to pass puppies. Is your vet prepared to do a c-section at any hour per night, once in trouble, the c-section would have to be done immediately with a very high chance of losing all of the puppies and possible the mother. The chances for eclampsia is higher. Unless you have been breeding dogs for years, and even then it is a bad idea to breed a yorkie female that size. The risks are huge, and if you are unexperienced, and unprepared, they are even larger. Please do not risks this dogs life. |

To the OP - you've received some great advice from some very experienced breeders...I hope you can appreciate their efforts to help you make the best decisions for your girl.

| Maybe the OP just does not know much about the risks of breeding such a tiny Yorkie. He left in a hurry and that says a lot. I am not surprised that he is having a hard time finding a stud . Gosh, My Suzi was already that weight at 9 weeks old ! She is now a hearty 7lbs, and I still would not ever consider breeding her. Just because of the great risks of something going wrong.

| Forgive this group????? You are posting your phone number and email on a public forum to breed a 3 lb yorkie to your 5 lb male. I wouldn't be surprised if people email and called you directly about your offer What are you thinking
