I also think if more pet owners were involved with the AKC rather than just breeders, we might be able to have an impact regarding AKC's support of animal legislation. I would like the AKC to be more proactive in legislation that is strict on the commercial breeder, yet doesn't drive the small breeder out. I would like the AKC to get rid of all the millers who have an AKC license, and if pet owners would register, they might have more clout.
