|  Help! One of our puupies seems to be constipated...she tries to go but has very little success. She doesn't seem to want to nurse, or drink any water. Her tummy seems a little distended and she's breathing a little heavier than normal. We just noticed this all within the last hour or so. Any suggestions as to what we can do? |

| Is the mom licking the puppy's bottom? The puppy needs to be stimulated to potty when it is young.

| I would give her some karo syrup and water. My main concern is if it could be coccidia. Often when pups have coccidia they strain to poop and sometimes a little icky bloody stool will come out. Have you noticed if the stools have been normal or watery? If you suspect coccidia then the pups would need some albon. |

| If she continues to have problems, do you have a vet? I saw that you live in Missouri...I do, too, and would happy to recommend some great vets if you live in the same area.  Tammy |
