| Omg i am so freaked out!!! Need advice!!! I had posted a few weeks ago about my "possibly pregnant" dog. Ok well she was bred on November 4th and 5th. She was showing earlier on in her "pregnancy" then all of a sudden got really skinny and is still skinny and I could NEVER feel any puppies. I just squeezed her teats out of complete curiosity to make sure to see if milk was coming out and it WAS. Her teats are not even swollen like she is pregnant!!!! I don't know what the deal is here but there are NO pups and yet milk???? Could it be a false pregnancy? Do they normally get milk like this with a false pregnancy? I am taking her to the vet first thing tomorrow but I am really freaked out and could use some advice!! I have never had anything happen like this before!?!?! |

| I haven't heard of actual milk with a false pregnancy either. Could there just be one little puppy in there? Be sure your vet does an ultrasound to see if there are any viable puppies. It is a little expensive, but only way to know for sure and you need to be prepared if she is pregnant. Good luck.

| This is all new to me too! I got to reading about milk with the false pregnancy thing and it says they can get milk. Last time she had a healthy litter of four pups with no problems whatsoever. I am just so worried because I haven't felt any movement and that's making me think false pregnancy or dead pup(s). If she did just have one live pup would I necessarily be able to feel movement? I am about to take her temperature and see if that tells me anything at all. I went ahead and set up a whelping box just in case! Her belly feels really firm up towards her ribs but I can't feel anything in her midsection. I am gonna post pictures of her belly last time right before she had pups. Then I will post pics from this time and you all can tell me if you think she looks even the slightest bit pregnant! First three pics are of her belly last time. Ummm and now she is nesting like crazy as I type this..... |

| Well my other one was bred on the 2nd and 3rd of November and had her pups on the 3rd of January. Duckie was bred on the 3rd and 4th and had four good ties. So, unless the second tie took later on, I really don't know.. Her temp has not dropped or anything but I am still afraid to go to sleep because I am afraid she will go into labor and have a hard time or something. |

| Her temp is at 101.5 right now so I am going to bed for the night. I don't guess there is any sense in waiting up if her temp hasn't even dropped. I am going to put her right by my bed in her crate just to keep a check on her. I will update you in the morning. |

| She sure doesn't look pregnant from the photo but I would have her checked to be certain that she doesn't have a dead pup in there |

| You definitely can get milk with a false pregnancy. That's why I freaked out with Roxy when I was sure she hadn't tied. She was in heat before I got her, and the guy didn't even know it! But it was a falsie, and everything was fine.

| One of my girls had a false pregnancy and she got a lot of milk - even went through the process of nesting. The whole 9 yards..it was so sad. I have heard that with a false pregnancy you will not get a discharge from the woohoo. Only pregnant dogs will get the slight clear discharge.....
