| Day 51 and temp is 98.2 Hey I need some help! My momma, Bailey is on day 51 in her pregnancy and she has a low temp of 98.2. I am concerned. The reason I checked her temp was because she gave me a kiss and her tongue felt a little bit colder than normal. She is acting like a normal pregnant mommy. She is eating and drinking fine. Shes not shaking or anything. I did just give her a bath.... Could it be that shes just cold from the air on her wet hair? Help Bailey and I, Please? Any advice would be nice! Thanks!

| I just gave my pregnant Momma a bath last night and thought about taking her temp as she was on day 56 and I thought better of it cause I thought of the temperature change, but I am new to all this. I would take it again before bed maybe? This is all so nerve wracking isn't it at times?

| Thanks for the reply! I am a nervous wreck and I have done this plenty of times! I just want to make sure I'm doing whats best for my momma girl. It was probably the bath so I will defiantly check it again before bed. Thanks again, and Best of luck to you and your momma!

| If her blood sugar is low that will cause her temperature to drop. If it continues to be low you might want to give her a little Nutri-cal or karo syrup and water and see if that helps. Best of luck with the whelping. |
