Humane society's do home visits also and alot of dogs get put to sleep over it. I would not let any stranger come to my house for a dog visit period. I don't like people coming over to my house.
do you exppect the breeder to welcome you, a stranger, into her home without knowing anything about you. |
I don't worry about going to their house if I trust the breeder period |
First off I was not attacking you. That is silly to say. If you want to go to people's houses that is fine! My opinion I would not let a breeder come to my house. |

It's the first question out of my mouth when a potential new family contacts. If their answer is no, conversation is ended You don't like people coming to your house, however, most potential new buyers come to my house. It's a two way street and for the good of the puppy...Then I do have a relationship with all my families, I go to their homes and them come to mine.....on a social basis. |

I have met Karen two times - the first time when my mom bought a dog from her and the second time when I bought a dog from her. I would agree that she does try to make sure the dog fits with the family. I have two kids and the first thing Karen did was suggest that I get one of her bigger pups. I will also mention that when my mom was trying to determine what size of dog she wanted (4lb or 6lb) we asked Karen to bring a few of her adult dogs of various sizes for us to look at. She did - and they seemed very well cared for. We stayed for almost 2 hours. The dogs did very well around people and loved being held by Karen. I would definitely recommend Karen.:) |
