| affordablepup.com Has anyone ever heard of or gotten a puppy from affordablepup.com? That's where Im getting my Yorkie from and just wanna hear everyone's opinions. I've actually heard some good things about them. And, we're going to pick her up seeing that they're in Ohio and I'm in Pennsylvania so its not so far so I don't have to worry them shipping my babyy. Thankss. |

| after looking at the website, I would not buy one from there. They are not a breeder, but are a broker and reputable breeders do not send thier puppies to brokers to sell. just my own opinion, but good luck with your puppy

| I have to agree with Sonya, I would not buy from them they appear to be a broker.......I prefer to deal directly with the breeders and I would question the breeders who would hand their pups over not knowing where they will end up....

| They seem to have a lot of happy customers i would contact several of them and if it as good as they say i would buy from them...I know this is not what most will tell you but, i believe you have to take some things at face value and if they have been doing this and it works for them, and the pets are healthy, and what you want why not...

| Why not ? This is why not.. Affordable Pups has sold over 2000 puppies this year alone ( posted on their website) Thats at least 167 pups per month. Some of the pups are very cute and the prices are good. BUT, with that amount of MASS production, you have to wonder how the poor parents are kept !! It might work for the brokers , but how does it work for the parents of these 2000 pups sold? With all the mills in the US you have to consider where these cute pups come from. ( just something to think about ) |

| I just visited this site and I personally would run as fast as I could from them. What I am going to say I hope you will remember is just my opinion being said as both a breeder and someone who has been on the recieving end of people like this in the past so please don't get angry. RED FLAGS: 1: They are in fact BROKERS... They state right on the main page that they get thier puppies from many different breeders that they have been working with for four years. 2: The contract they have is very confusing to say the least. In on part they say that they will stand behind any puppy found to have a genetic or congenital defect for 30 days. Please people do your home work, these problems can show up long after that. In the next part they say that the puppy is guaranteed for 365 days from the purchase date. If you ask me the first part voids the second part. 3: They boldly state that they will NOT give refunds (full or partial) they won't even help with vet bills as an alternative, only credit toward another puppy. We personally if I bought a puppy from someone and a genetic problem showed up I would be leary, after all they don't even tell you what breeder the puppy came from so how can you be sure you won't get the same problem from the same breeder? 4: They state that if a problem like this does occur they will help you PROVIDED you have been responsible in your duties. I'm sorry but this one really gets to me down deep... If one of my babies has a problem, I don't care how slight it is I am there for my owners regardless. After all, that puppy didn't ask to be brought into this world... It was my decission to breed the parents and that choice makes that puppy my responsiblity even after they have gone to thier new homes. I don't care if it is 4 in the morning, if one of my babies has a problem I'm there. 5: Just from what I counted they sell several different breeds, I counted four for sure and the fact that they mix breeds is in my eyes really questionable. I know that some breeders raise different breeds, and for them it works but the point is those breeders are raising them. NOT GETTING THEM FROM FOUR DIFFERENT BREEDERS TO SELL. 6: And to me the most important of all is his reason for selling puppies listed on the contact us page. " He thought the price he paid for his puppy four years earlier was too high so he decided to do this bringing afforadable companionship to ANYONE who needed it". That is the wrong reason for doing this... A reputable person in this business trys hard to improve the breed, not make a dollar extra. And they sure as hell don't do it so that ANYONE can have a puppy. I am very careful about where my babies go, questions are ask'd and references are checked carefully as are most of the breeders that I know. I don't want to and dread the thought that one of my babies could end up unwanted or even worse neglected because I sold that puppy with ANYONE just so that they could have a puppy and to line my own pocket. These are just my thoughts on this kennel and what I think of the program and reason for thier program. There are far too many babies and adults in shelters that would fit the same needs as those these people are selling for. In fact they would fit better because they would be thankful for the chance to have a loving home with someone who will care for them. Please take time to think about this before you rush off to purchase a puppy from these people just because the price is cheap, it could and more than likely will end up costing both you and the puppy far more in the long run.

| I understand all of your views. My aunt is pretty good with buying dogs online and she was the one who talked to them. I'm sure though if she had a problem with the people she would have changed her mind about buying from them. And again, I understand all of your points. I'll deff. take them into consideration next time I buy a pup online. Thanks. |

| Since they are so close to Pennsylvania, you can be sure they are brokering puppies from the deplorable Pennsylvania puppy mills. Send an Email to Pennsylvania Representatives about Commercial Kennels You asked for advice and got it. I'm not sure why you have chosen to ignore it. |
