Well, Rosie's temp this morning was 98.6. She went through a short time (about 4 hours) where she would want to stay in her whelping area. She is getting even more picky with her choice of food. :eek: Oh gosh...Please don't purchase the "Tiny" ones! The tiny ones are going to be WAY too small... I suggest the medium sized ones. See for yourself, they're a perfect fit! :thumbup:

:Di am so excited, i heard the babys heartbeats lastnight, sammy is day 43 right now!!!!! i cant believe she still has 20 days left, cant wait till i can feel them move!:D i guess since sammy is due last on this thread she will tell us who wins boys or girls. i am hoping for girls!!!!!

Baileys temp was 98.4 this afternoon. It is now back up to 98.8. She has been nesting and going in little dark corners all day. I read somewhere that if her temp drops below 98.0 degrees she will have them in 12-24 hours. But I also read somewhere else that if her temp drops below 98.4 she will have the pups in 12-24 hours.... Which is it and do you think she might have them tonight? I haven't noticed any contractions starting yet..... She is on day 62 today. Yay!!! I might get puppies tonight! :D

Yep, yep.........sounds like a long night for you. If she doesn't have them tonight, it will likely be tomorrow with temps staying in the 98 degree range. But either way, you'll need to stay awake/aware of what may or may not be happening with her. Good luck!:)

OMG! How Cute!! Do you know where I can find them at? Are they just the hairbands for ponytails??? :thumbup:

Yep, exactly! They are just medium sized ouchless hairbands. I generalized the "medium" sizing based on the ones that are so small that they fit on your finger. Then there are the large ones that can fit on an average sized wrist. And, medium which are sized just in between small and large. I get mine out the hair section of my local Walmart. They come in multi-colored packs with about twenty of them in each. What ever you do, please make sure that they are the ouchless kind and do not get the figure sized ones. They are WAY too small, even for our sized furbabies.

after a long night with no sleep.......
 
We have 5 healthy puppies! she went into labor at 11:45pm and gave birth to her first baby girl at 12:20am. She had the last one at 2:45 am. We have 4 girls and one boy. Whelping is such and amazing experience! :D I will post pictures tonight! Thank you everyone for your support and prayers. I know it helped us to have a safe whelp.

I most definetely will make sure they are the right size and check them several times a day. They grow so fast and can fill them up! Do you find that their front paws get caught in them?

Rosie's temp this morning was 97.4! Today is her official due date from her first tie. So....I have backup for my work for this week. I want to make sure I am with her when she has her pups!

OMG, Congratulations! You are going to be having so much fun in the coming weeks watching those little ones go through all their changes! I'll be watching for those pictures...........so glad everything went well & rather quickley too.:p

Aww Thank you very much everyone! I am Super excited to watch them grow and I am very lucky we had a quick and safe delivery! Thank you so much everyone!

Rosie's temp was 97.7 this morning. She's been keeping close to her whelping area, making a bed(digging) in there alot today and last night as well. Maybe today?

Update On Rosie...Our Little Expecting Mama!
 
Well, I have been keeping a very close eye on Rosie here. I decided to stay in my bedroom with her today since she prefers laying in her whelping area. Her temp is now 96.7! This is the lowest it has been. I even took it twice to make sure. She continues to dig off and on in her whelping area. No panting going on yet.

Since I am in my room with her for the day I decided to bring my laptop in to keep me busy, I've managed to clean my closet out as well! I will keep you posted!:aimeeyork

aww, is going to be tonight I know it. that how TAffy did during the day , when her temp went down and then that night she had the babies.. I will be checking on your progress... praying for a safe whelpig..

Yes sirrreee, sounds like it will be later today or tonight! Prayers to you and Rosie for a safe trouble free whelp. I'll keep an eye out for news.
