| My girls temp never really dropped. She will start acting restless and then may start panting. When she starts panting get ready and put her in her whelping box in a quite spot in your home. I put Lola in my closet in her Whelping Box and I would check very frequently like every five to 10 min. Its going to be ok.....She is getting close |

| Hey girls...How are you doing? I am sure you are nervous, but try to stay calm for your momma's to be, The temp thing works for some and not for othes, the best way I have found to know when the big day is going to be is when the momma stops eating and drinking, that has always been a sign that has worked for me, also most of the time they will know what to do, but make sure you are there just incase. Have your vets number close by incase you need to make a call. I have always been lucky to know the when the big day was here and that my mommy's know what to do. I hope this helps, and good luck. How's Molly doing? I know you were nervous because she's so small. I wish you much luck

| please respond! Is my dog done whelping? My yorkie gave birth to 3 pups about 10 1/2 hours ago how can I tell if she is through welping? It feels like there is another in there, but I don't know for sure. I didn't have any x-rays or ultrasounds done. She still has some green lookin stuff hanging out of her vagina. Do I need to worry or is this normal. I am new to all of this so I don't know what is normal or not. |

| I would try & pull it out first it is probably a placenta that didn't pass if you can't pull it take her to the vet before she gets a infection from it

| Well I tried pulling it out and couldn't get it. I am taking her to the vet in a little while to make sure all pups are out. Thanks for the reply. I had no clue I would freak out as much as I have...lol. I would rather be safe than sorry. |

a retained placenta or puppy can KILL your bitch. is been too long and if you can FEEL something in there then IS something retained. if I was you I would have been at the vet about 9 hours ago. Best of luck.. | |
