Pregnant without tying?

hi tried breeding my yorkie today she's 3 he's 15months the first time for both he tried several times but when he was about to tie she moved could she be pregnant without tying cause i'm breeding her with another stud tomorrow and have to pay this person stud fee the other 1 wanted pick of the litter and do i have to bring her back a second time if they tie tomorrow thanks sashazx75

Yes, she could be pregnant even though there has not been a tie. I would assume that if you used another stud you will need to DNA test your litter. Maybe someone else can correct me if I'm wrong....

One has to understand the mechanics of canine breeding. The female actually initiates the tie. Constricting her muscles. If a male completes penetration (hits the mark) and ejaculates (and the first initial ejaculation is what is needed to impregnate) a tie is unnecessary. Placing her with another stud, will definately complicate matters. What if the first stud did ejaculate and impregnate your female. You bring in another stud and he accomplishes the whole process. Your female can concieve from both dogs. Therefore, you will have to have the pups and the both studs DNA'd to identify which sire they belong too. An expensive endevor. Not the best way to accomplish a breeding.

thankyou to the 2 that applied to my question on whether my yorkie could be pregnant without tying cause he did he several times..and i'm taking her to a new stud tomorrow..i phoned my vet and he said it's unlikely that she got pregnant without tying i know some of you'se said they had puppies without tying...and i know 2 dogs can get her pregnate..but the puppies are being sold unregistered cause the males were reg my female isn't and i'm just doing this to keep 1 so unless i see them lock i'm going to assume the stud is the 1 doing the locking..thanks love the imput

The fact that you are selling them unregistered is good. But, it is unfair to the original stud owner. She has requested pick of the litter. You will still have to have the pups DNA'd to identify correct sires. It is the ethical thing to do, in the name of both stud owners.

Possible but not likely... Since she wasn't actually standing for him.. Why use another dog though and not just your own male?

But does it really matter? Maybe the breeder wont care. The female isn't a registered dog anyhow.

She should tell the stud owner for sure..

This is called an outside tie.
