Oh, congratulations on you litter of 4....just like my litter last year, two of each! C-sections are sometimes necessary to keep everyone safe, glad it all turned out okay. We'd love to hear some weights and see some pictures when you get a chance. :p

Sorry for the delay, between puppies and our own babies life is slightly hectic here! Okay, so it turns out that there are actually 3 girls and one boy.

boy 4.10oz
girl 5.2oz
girl 4.5oz
girl (runt)2.2oz

They are all doing great, the runt is having a little trouble nursing, so we are supplementing and might do the liver remedy just to be on the safe side. Mom is doing great and taking such good care of them despite her c-section. Thanks again to all! We will post photos soon!!

Great sizes except for the tiny, but she should do fine as long as she is healthy, you're supplementing, and watching her close for steady weight gain. We're very anxious for pictures.....but also patient. I will check back later. Congratulations again.:)

All puppies are doing great except the runt. She nurses well when assisted, but the bigger ones just knock her off if we don't protect her. We are still supplementing, now every two hours and also doing 4 drops of the beef liver with each supplement. Tonight we weighed them and she has not gained any weight but all others have. Our vet said to supplement with one mL, she weighs 2.2 oz, should we be giving her more than that? Also, we are trying to get photos up and hopefully will tonight! Thanks again.

Besides supplementing the tiny one, you could also give her some alone time nursing on mama either before or after the others have their turn. That way she can get her fill without being shoved aside and knocked off the teat. We surely want her to gain weight, but at least from what you said, she's no losing any?????? I'll say a prayer for her.

Here are the photos finally! I can't believe how busy we have been. All puppies are still doing great. We are still supplementing the runt, she seems to be doing well and gaining weight.

OMG :eek:, she is so tiny.....and adorable! I am so glad to hear that she is gaining weight. They are all beautiful and mama is a cutie. I am so close (Omaha) and yet so far.....would love to be there helping you. I am so in puppy withdrawal having been a year since I've had a litter and still waiting on my new female to become a "woman". I keep reminding myself "Patience is a virtue":rolleyes:
