| 56 days and counting ok gidget is 56 days that i know of..pretty sure temp is basically 99-100 still..one time yesterday it was slow to pass 98 but it got 99.1 and stayed...this is the second litter.. i left for a couple of hours today to get work done on my truck and i was scared because the brakes were grinding and i asked for someone to keep my skin kids and she never returned my call so i had to take them with me..thank the good lord everything went fine and my truck is good as new.. when i got home gidet was squealing for me to come let her out..its her little whinny cry she does..and dang if she didnt jump out of the kennel i hate that im scared she will get hurt. But i noticed she was really happy to see me and wanted me to sit and love on her..just more than usual i found that to be a little odd.. she is really easy to take a temp on..her first litter she didnt give many signs no digging i wish i wrote stuff down last time..anyways i think her temp started going down so i put her in the big kennel and checked on her every couple of hours and one time she had a puppy!!..then i stayed with her and she had 4 more pretty quick..i wish i hadnt missed the first one i had new belly pics but my printer isnt working and i need to switch printers to upload...she is even bigger then the last pics i showed! im so excited every night i have dreams that i am checking in on her and there are babies!!..does any one else do that? the only thing im concerned about is tomorrow at 11 i have a job interview with the state, dept of abc and i would hate to miss it or resschedule but im not leaving gidget alone!!..and people just dont get it my mom was like dont miss that interview because of her having puppies she will be alright..and i tried to explain she is a little dog its not like a big dog and even they have problems sometimes...i would be scared to death if i was having a baby and was left by my self..even if i had done it before. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Hi.........congrats on your upcoming litter. I would think if she is just 56-57 days you would still have almost a week before the pups arrive. Did she whelp early last time? Of course 63 days is not always the case as my girl had a litter last year a whole week earlier than we expected!!!! I was fairly certain of her "tie" dates as she went & stayed at the studs house for X amount of days, but the pups were definitely not premature as they were 5-6 ounces each. She had four. Good luck with your whelp.......I'll be watching this thread or others by you watching for the big event.
