| Has anyone... ever experienced this? Rainbow just got over her second heat. Sunshine (her mom) was spayed when she whelped last time as she had a c-section and we opted to spay her. In fact all of my pets are spayed/nuetered except for Rainbow. Anyway, while Rainbow was in heat, Sunshine seemed to think she also was in heat. By the end of the second week, she was trying to flag the boys. In fact, even her vulva was swollen as if she was in heat. I checked with my vet and she thought it was strange and said indeed, if she had not spayed her herself, she would have thought she was in heat. Is this wishful thinking on Sunshine's part?? lol.. I have never seen this. We had to keep telling her, Sunshine, you are NOT in heat baby. Has anyone else ever seen this?

| I personally have never had this problem but...If small bits of ovarian tissue remain in the body after surgery this can happen...The tissue can grow and respond to chemical signals from the brain to produce the hormones that cause a heat cycle...Hmmm wonder if they got it all?...

| It really is strange. She is going to be scheduled for a dental in the next couple of weeks and she also is having a cyst removed from inside her tummy. I will have to make sure they check her out very closely while they are doing the removaL
