| she is not a pure Yorkie but She is a Yorkiepoo and is 56 days pregnant from first tie . I started taking her temp yesterday and it was ... at 8:30 am 99.7 @8:30pm 99.3 and this morning @8:00am it was 99.0 .. I know its better for her to wait till day 58 . she is still eating but has been laying in her whelping box more. any advice as to if you think she is almost ready with the temp dropping . |

| When she is gettting ready to whelp, there will more than likely be a very noticeable change in her behavior. Don't rely too much on her temp as an indicator of when she will begin labor. Good Luck! |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Pregnancy is normally about 63 days, so you may have up to a week to go. Temps in the 99 range is heading downhill, but will likely go lower as she starts labor, though all dogs are different. But I HAVE seen many, many threads here on upcoming whelps that went on for days and days waiting for that true temp drop. You're right to begin taking her temp daily, and don't leave here alone from this point on, but you very possilbly could have a few more days to wait....................or not! Point being, ya just never know, so stay close.
