Personally, I would not need a written contract as my word would be good enough. If I said I wanted a pup and put a deposit down and for whatever reason, I was not able to go thru with it, I would not expect my money back because I gave my word. Now, on the other end, if someone gave me a deposit for a pup and couldn't go thru with it, I probably would give them the deposit back contract or not as that's just the way I am. |

I think this case is more about the timing in which the breeder is giving part or the whole deposit back. Personally I don't see why it matters to them if they give you back your money now. If they are only giving you half back, they made $150 on a puppy they still have (minus whatever ads they have to replace). |
Admin please close this thread, the breeder and I have both come to a mutual agreement we are both happy with :). Thank you to all that replied it was nice to hear comments from both sides. |
