| Whelping Progesterone levels Do any of you know how rapidly a dog's progesterone level decreases before whelping? Lulu's level today was 6.2. We will go back for another test on Monday. I realize we are looking at approx. a 2 before we start talking C section. I know you can someone prodict how fast the levels rise before breeding but wondered if their were any estimates regarding pre whelping. I could not find any charts. By the way, to Lady's Mom, you didn't tell me she is epileptic...I was sorry to hear that. Sally |

| The only thing I know is that within 48 hours of whelping the levels of progesterone will drop to 2ng/ml and within 24 hours the level will drop to 1ng/ml....if this is accurate one could only estimate that towards the end it may decrease 1ng per day or so???? Hope this helps... This could also be combined with temp. taking to be more accurate
