| Just curious here..... All you breeders who read this: Have you ever had babies be so quiet that you are afraid they died? I have Scarlet and Ruby (16 days today) and they are such quiet girls that you wouldn't know they existed. I am always afraid to look into the crate. My husband brought them to me today and they were just limp in my hands. So totally trusting! They can hear me cause they looked at me when I spoke to them but they....I don't know. They are weird compared to the high strung Yorkies I am used to. They came out of the crate by themselves for the first time today. Probably looking for mama but they didn't make any noise. They probably would have gotten lost under a dresser but the other dogs have a fit when some thing seems out of place. I wasn't in there when the babies got out but my husband was and I'll bet the other dogs were screaming their heads off. Sylvia |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Though 16 day old puppies is ALOT different than 10-12 week puppies, the first thought that came to my mind as I read your post was this: Reading your post took me back to when we first brought each of our fur babies home. For the first week(s) I remember we wondered...."He/She is so quiet, Will they ever bark?" Well duh, of course they will.........and boy do they! LOL Now it's more like..."Will they ever be quiet?" I would assume the same holds true for Scarlet and Ruby. They'll will be letting you know their presence before too long. For now, they must both just be happy, content babies!

The thing is that puppies usually cry when mom isn't there. My Morkie babies which are about a week younger cry a lot when mom isn't with them. Ruby and Scarlet are the quietest babies I can ever remember having. I can not remember babies being so quiet that I am afraid to look and see if they are still alive. Really, it freaks me out.
