Hey - just wanted to give a heads-up to everyone....

The books were mailed out today. We got bubble envelopes and put them in those to seal them. They were mailed via USPS via MEDIA MAIL. It will take approximately 6 days to get to you.

I mailed them Media Mail because it was the least expensive $2.93. Had they gone out other ways they would have gone up to $4.80-$7.10 depending on where you live from me.

Hey Gang!

I have been reading through the book. It is a VERY good book on setting the foundation to breeding. It goes alot into genetics. It has been a good review as I took 3 semesters of genetics in college!

It is considered a home-study course - it even has flashcards and tests. This will definitely be a good discussion/study course if anyone is interested to do that. I am like the others on this thread - I have NO CLUE on how to set something like that up

I am really excited to see everyone else's reactions/feedback on the book.

I hope someone comes up with a better idea of how to get started with a discussion but here's an idea. Someone might start a thread entitled chapter one, and once it begins to repeat information or lose following....chapter two. I'm just thinking about the threads becoming a resource for later use, relatively easy to search for opinions on subjects contained in the various chapters. If the subject of the chapter is included in the opening paragraph the search engine should pick it up easily.

i don't think anyone has gotten theirs since it was sent media mail...but we are trying to get a discussion group set up and so we are looking for ideas on how to approach it.
