I know how you feel there is ads in our local paper all the time about teacups makes me want to cry...Here I am worring, thinking, studing, scared to bred my Sofie next Year (If I even do) and she is 5 lbs 3.5 oz. I fear she is just to small to bred...I myself never have had a Yorkie as small built as my Sofie small....And she is my home bred. I wonder why people would put their babies lives at risk over money or greed. Not me...I hope the breeding doesn't take. I know it's hard to sit back and know something like this is going on. But sometimes things happen that are just beyond our control. Lee

Maybe you could print all the responses off of here and put them in their mailbox. Breeding dogs that small is insane...especially to a daddy that big. I'm with the rest of the posters...hopefully his sperm is too immature to impregnante the females.

I don't think the mechanics will work if you have the sizes correct but let's assume they will. What your friend needs to know is that there is almost no chance a litter would carry to term in a bitch this size. More likely will be an internal rupture resulting in infection, sepsis, and death. It's going to be hard to show a profit with those results. She might be better off to just get a part time job. Or a clue!

you don't have to get angry - it's easy to misread a post. She said what she said nicely & she's right - there is no such thing as a teacup - but that aside....You're so right - your friend is being a very VERY careless person.

I don't understand how people think it's no big deal to 'let' dogs mate. There's already far too many dogs needing homes yet people are breeding like there's no tommorrow

You're right to be upset ...I'd be upset too. The bad part is - alot of people will do exactly what they want to do regardless...
