Or can I swing 2 at the same time? I have never had this happen??? PS: I have already bred one for the day and the other one wants to drop her dam off tonight. HELP ME! | On the rare occasions when I have had two females in heat at the same time and I need to use the same male I would breed the 1st bitch one day, then the next day I would breed the 2nd bitch, then I would skip a day, then I would breed the 1st bitch again and the next day the 2nd bitch again. Keep in mind the male sperm can live up to 7 days so as long as the breedings are within a few days of each other you should be successful. I hope you have had these females checked for brucellious. | I called my grandfather's wife who breeds Saint's and she had told me to do the rotation schedule as well. I appreciate the suggestion. I definately had all of their testing done prior to breeding, I do not take breeding lightly. This is a very serious passion of mine and I absolutely love it! Hopefully I will get a couple champions out of these litters. I am convinced that they will be! I will definately be bragging when that time comes The lines are such a match that I can't wait to post pictures! (I know I am getting a head of myself) but I just love this stuff!!!! And MAMMA MIA is right this guy is a Hot commodity! He is popular with the ladies~ |

| Good posting to everyone! This is actually happening to me as well. I decided to rotate days because of the sperm life. Good to know your testing! I think everyone should know about these diseases that could hurt our breed! I actually have all of the testing requirements written in my contract so that there is no if, and's, or but's about it!

| stud I was recently at a repro vet having one of my older boys checked out, his sperm that is. Wanted to see how viable it is as he is older etc. She recommended breeding him 30 hrs apart when breeding as it would give him enough time to regenerate good sperm rather than mediocre or unviable. So now when I breed him that is what I do and it has been very successful, he finally had a litter of males which I wanted, his last several litters were all girls, but I wanted something to carryon with and the male sperm dies quicker. BANNED! | I use a ratation schedule also when I have had to use my male on 2 bitches at the same time. I also add some puppy food in my studs feedings to give him some extra protein while he is being used for 2 breedings. Watch your stud he can lose weight breeding 2 at the same time. |
