Congratulations on your double birth...what an exciting day you've had. Very glad to hear mom and pups are doing well. Time for you to get some much needed rest now.

WOW............and congratulations!

2 pregnancys with 2 labors, 2 "road-blocks", and 2 c-sections on the same day. That is something else! Thank you so much for posting your experiances with these whelpings and for posting the pictures. I'm sure many will have learned something new seeing them and hearing what those sacs meant......I know I did, and it will be very helpful to know about that circumstance when my next whelping time comes in a year or so.

Congrats again on the 7 new babies......I'll be watching for pictures.

Yes, sometimes it seems like that. I am just so grateful for such a good outcome.

I am so happy for you! Seven puppies, wow! Your house filled up - and fast! My Chloe recently lost all four of her pups and I was looking forward to that feeling. Once you are able to settle down and enjoy the puppies, savor it. As a matter of fact, can you bottle some of that wonderful "puppy-feeling" and send it over to me? :D I am sure you are tired now, but I hope you are able to enjoy the new seven loves of your life quite soon!

I really wish I could. I am so sad about what happened to Chloe's little ones.

I really need to post some pictures, but I have a hard time finding a time when they are not nursing. I really don't want to take the pups out at that time as we are trying to get the milk flow established. I promise it will be soon.

You can say that again! They were born on days 58 and 59. Either that or the natural breeding without the tie was successful one of the days before I artificially inseminated them.

Okay, okay. But the only photos I have are with bloody gross backgrounds. Like I said in the posts above I am having a hard time getting them away from the moms, especially Mazey. I think she is paranoid since I took two of her pups and gave them to Pippin to nurse since Mazey is having so little milk right now.

We understand, completely. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that no matter how many yorkie puppies we have seen in the past, we can never get enough. Perhaps we are somewhat Yorkie puppy obsessed. (and by somewhat I mean EXTREMELY!). :)

I just saw this thread. Congratulations are in order! Does Lana have new brothers and sisters? It sounds like the births were very exciting. I cant wait till the picture come.

Thank you, Rachal! Yes, Lana is now officially a big sister. She has one little brother and one little sister. Same mom, different dad.

Here's a pic, but it was taken soon after birth so it's not real pretty.

Okay, here are a few more. If anyone wants to see the video of the actual C-section I have that, too. :eek: Sorry it took so long. Right after I posted tonight that I would put the pictures on my husband asked me to go to the store with him...

nancy.. I just read every post... wow how amazing to have two whelping yorkies both needing a c section so close together.. wow that is stressful.. really glad for you on such a great outcome.. i would love to see the video of the section... puppy hugs to you... anne

OMG......no need for any warning......most all of us have been there, done that as far as seeing the blood/discharge stuff anyway. My first thought in looking at the first pic posted here was "Awww, freshly newborn yorkie puppies....ADORABLE!"
Mazey has a beautiful little face & looks pretty alert for just having a csection. Looks like she wants out of that cage so she can get to her babies.
I too would LOVE to see the video of their birth.
