Not a breeder, but need one, please help! Hi! I own a young Rott right now, but sadly, my old miniture schnauzer is dieing and it wont be long now. However me and my father want to get a Yorkie for my mother, as a house dog. I am trying to find a good breeder of Yorkies for a decent price. The thing is, that it has to be a location around the area of Ames and/or Des Moines Iowa, or...somewhere around Sioux City Iowa (which is next to the states Nebraska and South Dakota). Sorry if that was confusing, but I have noooo idea where to start looking, but I really want to find a healthy pup. If anyone has an idea please let me know. Thank you!!!!

go to www.breeders.net and put in the zip code you live in and you will get a list of breeders that have adds there... However, do be careful of puppy mills... You can visit and ask questions. also if you are interested in an older puppy you might try www.petfinder.com and you may get lucky and find a yorkie.

Hi. Good luck with your research of breeders and I cannot stress enough to really screen the breeders good. Take your time and be patient, all good things come with time!! There are many great breeders out there and then there are the others. Sorry to hear about your Schnauzer!
