| Update on Skittles........ Well she had 2 pups, first was deformed(and died), 2nd just hung too long in the birth canal breech, sac broke and I had a finger in there trying to get it out as she had contractions, that one died as well. Skittles is fine. I'm just sad. Thanks everyone. DaniBelle & Skittles |

| Danibelle, I am so sorry about the pups. Thank heavens Skittles is OK. When were they born? I'm not a breeder but have read them advice on here to take the mom to the vet soon after the birthing so that she can be checked out, make sure there are no more puppies, etc. Let us know how she's doing.

| sorry I'm so sorry to hear about your puppies. That's really to bad. Glad Mom is o.k. Was it really hard on her? Was this her first time? If you are better "not" talking about it, that's o.k. I'm just the type of person that has to talk it all out to feel better.

| She had the first pup while I wasnt home, part of the very top of the head was not formed properly, no skull bone, red fleshy brain(I assume) stuff was exposed. She had ate the sac and everything, so that part she did great on (yes it was her first litter). The 2nd pup was born an hr later(I was home), came out breech, sac broken already...I assisted with that one. Had to get a finger in there and help get it out. I tried for 30mins to revive pup, did the swing drop, suctioned nose and mouth, rubbed vigorously...everything. After that I rushed her and pups to ER, they did an xray, no more pups in her(wheww) and then told me to watch over here and what to expect with her healing process. I have bathed her and she is going back and forth between her 3 fave sleeping spots. She has already eaten and lil and went out to potty. I'll just keep a close eye on her and take her to her vet this wk. thanks everyone DaniBelle |
