| Here come puppies... Chloe is in hard labor...her contractions are coming very close together now, it shouldn't be much longer. I've never had one to do this, but she will NOT get in her whelping box. She stands in there and howls when I put her in and she will not settle down at all. She only lays down and pushes a little when I put her on my bed. So I piled blankets and towels up on the bed...she says that's where she wants to have them, so be it... |

| Things have not been fun...lost the first baby (a boy)...too big and stuck...he was born outside the sac (dry birth) and he was really large. I had to pull him out (he was already dead) and shee was screaming...it was horrible. Then I walked across the room to get another towel and I came back and she had another baby laying there already. She wasn't breathing, I fnially got her back and got all the fluid out of her lungs. Then another girl, this one was healthy and active, but she grabbed the cord and snapped it as she was being born, and she almost bled to death...but I got her back too. Now they're both having trouble nursing...she has inverted nipples (all except 2), so they're having a difficult time. I placed them on several times but they can't get a grip...so if they don't figure it out soon I'm going to have to get out the syringe. They were 3.6 and 3.8 ounces. She has at least one more that I can feel, maybe two. She's resting now...she's relaly tired, bless her heart. If she doesn't start pushing again in less than an hour I'm going to take them all into the EV. stressed.................... |

| Oh Nicki, I'm so sorry! I was hoping for better news. You must be so exhausted on top of being stressed!! I am keeping you, Chloe and those precious, tiny babies in my prayers.
