How much weight should Kallie's pups be gaining? Kallie's pups were 5.5 and 6 oz at birth one week ago.. They are 15 and 16 oz today.. Is that normal?

Hi Amanda! As long as they are gaining, it is what is normal to them (I think they'll be a little on the bigger side; but you never know). Sounds like they are nice and healthy and growing fast. I'd love to see new pictures. How did tail docking day go? Wait....you had three, did something happen? Last edited by Julz; 05-23-2008 at 04:30 PM.

No nothing happened, two of them are staying the exact same size.. They are coming up .70 on my scale and one is coming up .60... Sorry to scare ya! They are amazing and they are always eating.. I do not care how big they get as long as they are healthy. Although it would be kind of funny if all three of them were big ones..Kallie is a great mom. I will post pictures here in a little bit.. When can I expect them to open their eyes...and at what age can you play with them and watch them run around?

They open their eyes at two weeks old. Their ears will start to open also. If you look, you will see that they are closed. If you put a pee pad in half of the pen with them, they will start to wonder over to pee on it...it is amazing, but they do it (not right now though, Kallie is still stimulating them). You'll be amazed, they can't even walk yet but they will get themselves to the pad. Enjoy them each day...before long, they'll be snagged onto your pant leg and you'll all be taking wee little steps around the house to avoid kicking them.
