|  The green discharge you saw was probably from the dead pup... green or black BEFORE giving birth is never a good sign... after or during whelping is OK. Glad you were able to get her out from underneath the deck...(what a story!!  ).Sorry you lost the one pup. Best of luck with the surviving one. Keep us posted on him.
