Ok...you can try and explain the airline thing.....8 weeks.....And, then I say, bring him a BIG ONE......

You all are acting like you don't remember when your DAD said to do something ......do you???? I say, he is going to spoil that little puppy and give it a lot of attention, which will add to its development for sure.....

So why not just let him be happy??????? ANd the puppy too!

I'm just going to judge the puppies maturity around 9-10 weeks.
If its bigger and doing great ..I'll get on a plane with her.
yep he raised us and did pretty good job at it :)

Imprinting and socialization is very important from 8-12 weeks of age. Puppies learn to be dogs and learn important things such as bite inhibition. Also, after 12 weeks the risk of hypoglycemia decreases dramatically for most puppies. This is why the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America states in their code of ethics that a puppy shouldn't go to its new home until at least 12 weeks of age.

At first I thought you meant not to send him Crazy husband and crappy lantern collection.,...hehe :D

Yes..the 6 week airline limit alone buys me time.
He just dont "get it" Bless his heart.
Nala's puppies were only a week old this past Sunday when he was asking me when I'm bring him his...lol
Hes like a kid at Christmas time ~!

I just dont want him back in Ohio spanking my butt. lol
I'm going to hold him off as long as I can.
He got a toy poodle , he was 6 lbs fullgrown at 6 weeks.
So he just thinks I'm being silly...But I'm not.
I never let them go before 12 weeks..Some longer

Maybe you can find some websites and articles to send him showing why it's important to wait longer. I know Dad's can be stubborn..believe me :rolleyes:

you could start sending him some special things for his baby every week... like a blankie, then a toy, something that he can be excited about..... then you could get away with the "airline rules".....
