| Zoe doesn't want to let the babies nurse. She keeps licking them. Should I do anything or should I let her keep licking them?

NEVER have they hurt one. She is just doing whats natural to her. No need to redo them...she will just do them again. She not going to hurt them...she just didnt like the length YOU choose..lol

| I would but I really dont know the real answer. I have always just let her be and when the babies are nursing mamma just gives up. So I am watching to see if someone else has a better answer.

| Thanks Debbie.. Sunshine never bothered with the cords after they were cut.. so I wasn't sure if it was normal for them to keep chewing on them..

Did you check all mouths? Mama had those babies soooooo fast. She wants to clean them up first. This is her way of bonding with them. She'll be fine. Just let her lick...and keep trying to get them latched on You'll do it.Sometimes it takes abit

| aww it sounds like zoe is going to be a great mommy! she is doing such a good job! tell mom to relax now. if you have any nutri-drops, put just a dab on the teats or on the babies tongue and they should latch right on

But I didnt finish...forgot my train of thought. Its not been a good day. But I wanted to add ~ I always check for cleft palate and check and make sure they have anal openings. Doesnt mean there wont be trouble. But its a good idea to do the puppy check right after birth.
