| Gold or Tan? I was just wondering what the difference between the coloring of black and tan and black and gold is????? I just got Delilah's AKC certificate today and she was registered as black and tan, but many of her relatives were listed as black and gold.

| I was told that Tan is the darker color, and Gold is the lighter color. Gold tends to be used commonly no matter what the true color is though..and everyone seems to interpret coat colors differently

| She's a cutie, she reminds me of Denali when she was younger. I would call her tan, I would call Denali tan as a pup but as she continues to clear, who knows?!

| I don't pay too much attention to the color listed on pedigree because if you register your puppy early, you really don't know what color they will be. I have some that are registered as black and tan but they are blue and gold. |
