I have just read this entire thread! Boy, was it worth it

The love and kindness shown is extraordinary.

First, the help and advise, then the waiting and friendships being formed, the joking and laughing... the all of a sudden I could actually FEEL the worry.

WOW.

One of the best threads ever.

Congratulations on three puppies. I will be checking in to see if there are any more.

I just got back from work... I was thinking about the birth the whole time.

Now that we've formed the waiting room community - we are going to have to keep making the rounds to all puppies - especially those first litters!

I stopped home for 5 minutes before Megan's show....and I HAD to come on here for the update. Congratulations Amanda and Kallie! Whew! I don't know if I could go through this again

Ok everyone... I have a few minutes to update everyone and then I have to rush three skin kids to the ER because none of them can hear me.. There must be something wrong with their ears!!!!

Ok so now to figure out who won this bet...Alot of you were making bets on when she would start labor and alot of you were making bets on when the first pup would be born..I decided to go by when she started labor and how many pups she had.. So the winner is*********************EPSILON*********.... You guessed Today at 8am with 3 puppies.. She had her first contraction at 7:52 and she had 3 puppies total....YORKIEmom2008 is the runner up because you guessed 9:00 and the first pup was born at 9:32. There are 2 boys that I think I will name Marco and Polo since I found that to be too cute... The girl, I have not named yet, but I am pretty sure that I am going to keep her.. It all depends on how crazy I am in 12 wks when they are ready for new homes... If anyone has any labor and delivery questions about what all happened, please feel free to ask and I will answer asap.. Right now I am just to exausted to type the whole story.. Epsilon if you will send me a pm with your Yorkie's names and wether they are boys and girls PLEASE.. And you also YORKIEmom2008. I have decided to also send something to you for being the runner up.. Please do not say no and just send me those pm's... Love you all and I am so THANKFUL that I had all the support from all of you.. It truly made this whole experience much easier...Julz and Cindy!!!!! I cannot thank you enough for all your help!!! OMG..........I am so mad that I had to be at work today. I snuck on as much as I could in the morning (was there right after the first boy was born, thankfully), then things got busy at work and couldn't sneak back online anymore.

Even though I was not able to be online with you all, Amanda and Kallie were in my thoughts and prayers all day long.

Amanda....Congratulations, first of all, on Kallie's new family! I am so glad that everything turned out well in the end. As nerve-wracking as it was I am sure you did an awesome job at helping Kallie through it. I guess from an earlier post I am assuming that Kallie is done whelping (maybe not?) I am anxious for you to be able to grab a few minutes to come on here and give us your account of it all. ((((((Hugs))))) to you, Kallie, and the babies!

Ooops, and there you are as I type!

You type your account of it all as soon as you are rested up and ready. We waited this long for those puppies, we can wait for your story of it all a little longer. Congrats again!

Somebody help me with this weight thing.. I have a pet/baby scale that I bought a few years ago. I have a 3 lb weight that I put on it and it said 3.00. Then I put the puppies on it and it says .30 and .25. Then at the vet, they weighed the first boy that was .30 at home and he weighed 5.65 oz.. and their scale actually said oz... How the heck do I figure this out so I know if they are gaining weight????

YAY!!!!! I just KNEW I was gonna win! haha. Oh YAY!! I'm so excited! Can't wait to tell my hubby. Ok, with your scale... it's giving you how many lbs your puppy weighs. It's probably not very sensitive to small weights and will hence be off. There are 16oz/lb so you'll need to multiply by 16 to find out how many oz they weight.

.30lb=4.8oz
.25lb=4.0oz

You may as well mark whatever reading you are getting and then just make sure it doesn't drop. I bought a scale on ebay and it has an option to weigh in pounds and ounces. I little thing that is great to have for sure. I am soooo happy for you Amanda! I was really getting scared there for a while. Remember to turn those pups and make sure they will nurse while laying on their sides. With all of the build up of this thread, how could Kallie have NOT had a dramatic whleping???!!!???? I'm exhausted myself
