No puppies.... She is acting normal and her temp is 98.8.....My head is pounding so I am going to head to bed...I will be sure to update if any progress.. Keep in mind that my computer is upstairs on the opposite end of the house than her whelping box so it may be hard to get to fast to update... I am so anxious to see who wins.. I can't wait to prepare a gift basket with goodies for the winner and the winners furbabies....If Stewie doesn't straighten up I may just send him in a basket...lol... just kidding.. and unfortunately my husband will not fit or he'd be on the next Fed Ex truck outta here...lol

Me too.....if it's taking forever here, I can't imagine how long it feels at Amanda's house.

I just got to thinking as I pulled up this thread checking for pups......

....after all this anticipation, I'm going to be kind of sad if Kallie has her pups while I'm sleeping (or while I'm at work) and I miss all the action. I promise you, if she goes into labor some day/evening and whelps into the night, I WILL be staying up for the event. After all this waiting, I want to be "there" as near as I can be.:D

All of the post have made me smile!!! I love it when you can just set back and enjoy site.I was sure I would guess the correct time butttt that didn't work.

This little MOM has definately gotten National Attention!! Ha

New guess is Monday afternoon around 3:00 pm and their will be 3 pups. Set back, relax, have a glass of wine and get ready for the birth when God decides its time for those cuties.

Ok, so this morning's temp is 97.1......Kallie and Stewie slept right up against me last night.... Is it just me or do all yorkies fold themselves in half or look like a boppy pillow when sleeping...anyways... I had a killer headache so I kept waking up about every 2 hours and when I tried to pet Kallie just to show love I couln't find her head..Then when I FINALLY did (it was pitch black) I thought she was dead.. I lifted her head up and it fell back down twice so I screamed Kallie and she jumped up like "What, are the puppies coming" Then after my heart went back into my chest, I laid there for an hour listening to her fart, snore and pant...Then she went back to sleep..Now this morning she is in her whelping box laying on the heating pad asleep.. She won't eat...neither will Stewie and Stewie is laying in front of her box as if he is guarding her or protecting her... I swear dogs are so funny.. Oh yeah, and Stewie is a cat not a Yorkie...everytime I stop petting him he nudges my hand with his nose...I swear these puppies are gonna come out purring!!! Does anyone think that I should go for another xray for the fun of it....It only costs me $42 and I am so overly anxious.. Of coarse I couldn't post the results of the puupy count but her last xray was 9 days ago. Do you think that a new one would show more prominent bones?? Also, what does DH stand for??

Ok so that is not the picture I meant to post but for those of you who are curious, that is me and my family at Christmas..I meant to post the one of Stewie guarding Kallie.. Sorry, I have a 4 yr old making himself breakfast so I better get down there quick. Will post that other pic later..

I was going to comment on what a BEAUTIFUL family you have and that your daughter must look EXACTLY like you did at her age. Girl, you are BLESSED! Amanda, I would NOT take her for another x-ray. She isn't eating, that is a GOOD sign. Like I posted before, it is usually the FIRST sign. She will lay around, then start getting uncomfortable. When the digging starts, it will still be a while, so don't panic. This is when she needs to be in a darkened room with a soft light on so you can peek in now and then. Try to make it where a door won't be creaking every time you check. She needs to be uninterrupted as much as possible. You know how they say a watched pot won't boil....well, a watched Yorkie won't (seem to) whelp. Again, please stay calm no matter what. You will know when she is in the hard labor stage because she will bear down just as a woman does. Some lay to have them (mine do) and some stand and look like they are trying to poop them out. Some cry (mine don't) and some don't. It is her first time; I'd suggest taking notes on her actions if you plan to breed again. Trust me, you will be JUST as anxious next time and forget almost everything you learned. You'll think you'll remember every detail, but you won't. Taking notes will be very helpful.
