temp is now 97.5 angel rebuked me stressfully trying to take her temp. I have to have someone hold her by the shoulders and head and I got it done, temp 97.5 then she retreated to under my bed and proceeded to vomit. she has refused to eat ever since 8am this morning. I felt the puppies moving around very close to the birth canal. she is lying on her side trying to sleep. I feel I should just try and let her sleep while the puppies are trying to move into what ever alignment they need to get into. she does not seem distressed. Dispite my niece coming over with her son and he is only 15 month old and cried standing over the whelping box. It didn't phase her, . It may be today ladies. I haven't seen her water break. I did notice last week mucous discharge, this color was been clear to reddish. pray for healthy puppies angel is precious and the sire was killed by a car Mat 5th so these are the only puppies from him. |
Oh Dana, this sounds really good. She's cranky, and that has got to be a good sign that things are going on inside her to get ready. I'd stay really close to her, she may look like she is sleeping, but may just be resting and getting ready to push. Very exciting. All our best wishes coming your way. |

May puppies too.... I tried posting yesterday, I don't know if it went through or not. We are expecting anytime, temp is down to 98.8, I don't know if that's low enough though. I checked on Debbie Jensen and it said between 99 and 98.. I am waiting, and I see everyone getting closer it's making me antsy....:animal36 |

Ok I am ready. Is this where I start boiling the water???? LOL ! I am sitting on the edge of my chair, waiting to see another post, as someone says, baby one has arrived!!! :coffee_n_ I keep looking at the pictures, others have posted of their new-borns. They are so cute. |

No puppies yet I retook her temp, with my husbands help, it is 98.8. shge refuses to eat still, and will drink water off my finger tips. she had pudding consistency stool around 3pm and went back to lay down. I noticed after washing back there her vulva was showing some pink tissue on closer inspection I noticed with yiping her her vulva was just spreading open a little. I can't tell if she is having any kind of contraction and she is just laying around, if I leave the room she just follows me. I wonder when I should be worried about this kind if lethargic behavior? If nothing happens tonight I will take her to the vet in the morning. she had xrays on May9th and 7 puppies where seen, and if they did not grow to much bigger she should do fine was what I was told. |
