As I said it was done with an Era of judgement. Nana D alreay said she was going to the vet. Blitz acted like she was just going to handle it without professional assistance. Nothing wrong with show dogs... there is a place for both IMO. It is just the way she said it. If more than one person thinks that it was said with harsh judgmental tones would you stop and think maybe it came across that way even if she didn't mean it?? Again, I wouldn't have said a thing except her posting in another thread. I think the behavior was not the best in either direction when the arguing started. But, like you said it is a very heated topic. |
Giving advice is always wonderful but you cannot make your opinion the rule Debbie has been given advice and has been in contact with her vet etc. And the puppy is doing great which is where all energy should be directed. Looking forward to updates Debbie. Keep up the good work! Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |

Update Thanks to all who understand why I waited, No I do not show my dogs. But I know I love mine every bit as much as ones who do show. (Did not say more...but as much) People who know me here I think have a good idea of how I am by now. I did call the vet right away. The puppy was not in any pain . I moved her leg all over Side to side...up and down, she was in no pain and from the first minutes she was born was using it well to crawl to Allie to nurse. I told them this. If there had been any pain what so ever..I wouldnt have waited. This would have upset me so much I would have insisted she was seen right away. I am GLAD I didn't push it. These were tiny 3.5 oz or so puppies. This puppy did not need any more trauma after just being born and taken from Allie. I am now more then happy with the results. My vet just said this is a very common thing that happens with a lot of babies. He said that the puppy could have been a bit crowded and that this happens to all types of dogs.kittens...etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this puppy's leg. Its almost perfect now~! It crawls right across the bed to Allie as fast as the others. And other then a wee bit of the paw her foot is almost perfect! You have to REALLY look to even see this. The vet said not to even tape it anymore...let her use it...and in another day or two. You'll never know it happened. I'm so sorry this happened to this thread. I am starting to wonder why this happens... Sad... |
Debbi I am so glad that your girl is doing so well. YIPEEE this just made my day! I am so happy for you and we all learned alot from your thread and the pics etc. Thanks so much for sharing Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |

Yay!!! So glad you listened to your instincts and your vet's advice. I think we have all learned something new by reading about your little girl. Don't feel bad about the thread, it is not your fault that things kind of got out of control. |
Im really glad your baby it doing so well. Its not your fault this thread got crazy. You know we are all our own person, we are able to give advise, and we are able to take or leave advise. Lots of people are opinionated and often times try to push their ideas to become ours. I dont believe its always on purpose. My mother is a prime example. ha ha... I personally would have been in a panic and went to the vet asap. And I have had dogs my entire life. You did excellent. Give yourself a pat on the back. All of us need to remember for the most part folks here mean well when giving advise. (and thats just my opinion) ha ha.... |
That is great that your little girl is doing so well!!! Go Girl! Go Girl! Go Girl! I learned a lot from your experience, and will certainly check our puppies over really well. I'm so glad you spotted it right away. Thanks for the update. |
