I'm sitting here keeping Remi company while she's hanging out in her whelping box. She seems quite content to stay here though the other dogs aren't happy about being locked out of the room. Temp never works with her, I just have to follow her lead and it's hard to know for sure if she's in labor until she actually pushes. It could be a long night!!

It's day 63 from the first tie which was on her 10th day. She usually ovulates on her 10th day so we should be close.

even right before I went to bed for an hour nap before I came back out to her water broke..I see that more and more ,that is not a for sure science.LOL

Last time Remi gave me no warning at all. We were having a terrible storm and she was hiding out in her crate. She does that when she's done with the world, nothing new. All of a sudden she comes running into the dog room where I was setting up her whelping pen. You'd have thought the devil was on her tail! She's not usually afraid of thunder but she was shaking. I set her down in the whelping box which was lying on the futon. She gave me a funny look and than she pushed. She had eaten and been fine all day, go figure!

63rd day and the way she looks, I'd bet you will have a long night! Hope you don't have to stay up all night by yourself. We're on west coast so I'll check back in and see how you are doing.

Last night purple boy held his own with the big dogs, so I got a little more sleep. WhooHoo!

We're panting and starting to work hard. Terry just got home so he can take care of the other dogs and I can fully devote myself to Remi. I'm so relieved that he's here as I hate to do this alone. Even when he's sleeping I know that he's just a yell away. I just put my metal impliments in the alcohol so we're getting ready. Remi is doing her part by tearing up the nicely made bed that I slaved over!
