Jewels is on my heels today I turn around there she is,have to watch so I dont step on her she is following me that close. My brother has had 7 so far 6 boys and one tiny girl, last pup took over a hour .His wife Teena seen a buldge but the pup kept sliding back in that was at 7:30 no pup till almost 9.she called all freaked out I told her to try and feather her and if nothing call the vet .it did work and out came the pup after a few good hard pushes I think momma was running out of gas.She dosent know if there is another pup left or not,and I cannot go and check as I got 5 kids today! TOld her to let momma rest a bit and then check and see if she has another one and if so she might need some help with the last one to get it out!! | |

| ![]() Goodness! Even without new puppies there is a lot going on here. Glad everyone is in good humor, on the other hand, what choice do we have? These girls are certainly showing us who is boss! Ruby slept like a log last night. I think she got turned on her back and couldn't turn over again ![]() Soooo glad about little Aidyn. His sister is as big as one of my little boys! She has really had the run of the buffet all right! Waiting for xray results. How many are there???? Oh, Deb, what is "feathering" that you suggested for your brother's pups?

| ![]() One more thing, I tried to get Nutri-Drops at my vet yesterday, but they didn't have them, and the pet stores don't carry them. Can you dilute the Nutri-Cal instead?

Feathering can help stimulate them to push. Put on surgical gloves and apply a small amount of lubricant such as KY Jelly. Gently, insert one finger into the bitch's vulva and gently tickle -- or feather -- her along the top of her vagina. This can help stimulate stronger contractions. If this doesn't produce a quick result or the bitch is getting tired at all, call your vet. Ky help get a stuck puppy out also Katelin

| ![]() Oh and feathering is just inserting a finger into her vagina and gently rubbing the outer walls to stimulate contractions. ![]() |
