I doubt we can ever earn the trust and respect of everyone on YT. Unfortunately, when there is a disagreement, the group has to function at the lowest common denominator. I think it is a shame that some breeders don't feel comfortable (other thread), you can't sell puppies to Yorkie lovers on YT, and now someone thinks there shouldn't be a Nursery section. Good Grief! Okay that is my only rant today. Its sunny, going to be warm, all my Yorkies are healthy. Life couldn't be better.

I see no problem with people posting in the Nursery section. I think it is wonderful watching puppies grow whether they are going to be sold or are already sold. I know some show breeders say they will not post there and to me that is really sad because we can all benefit from watching beautiful show puppies develop and blossom from birth forward. If someone asks if they are for sale then just so no, what's wrong with that? I love looking at all puppies because they are all special.

I have been sharing a litter of 2 puppies in the nursery and was unaware that there was an assumption that they were posted there for sale...both of these puppies we are keeping to show! I just happen to really love my babies and am really, really proud of them...so I posted them there to share...not to sell. I guess that could be the intentions of some who post there...my mind just does not work that way! Our waiting list is long enough! :D

I think it is great that you and other share pictures of you beautiful babies growing up. There was a lot negative talk the last few days about breeders just coming on here just to sell puppies. There will always be some with bad intentions and those with good intentions should not be scared away or be made to feel bad for wanting to share pictures.

I think almost everyone posts in the nursery JUST to share in the joy of their little ones. I know I was sure looking forward to it.
Maybe I still will. I want to share. I love sharing pics!!!
And I want to see all the other puppies grow
I go there a lot!!!!!! And love it.
But just yesterday I seen a post AGAIN...somewhere...I see it many times :(
That said YT should do away with that section...and is it called "selected breeders" I guess where you pay to be made as such.
And even some talk of no breeding section at all.
I know I'm on a Maltese forum tho I never find the time to post
(I like it here so much!) that not only has no breeding section, but if I'm not mistaken wont even let you put your website if you have one in your siggie.
I have to post to the board...I hope somebody knows what to do.

I agree about the nursery. Me posting them there had NOTHING to do with selling them. I haven't attempted to advertise on YT at all...Debbi you know how I feel about that...;)

I'm just so proud of my babies and want others to see them as they grow. I never even thought about selling them through that section. I just wanted to share with everyone else who appreciates puppy breath as much as I do...:D Don't worry about what everybody else thinks...Post them babies hun!!!! There are plenty of us that are dying to see them!! :D

That's another thing, I completely took my site of my signature for now. With everything going on I didn't feel it needed to be there. And I am not here to sell babies. I come to the breeder section to share my love of breeding with others.

You should definitely post their pics...just post that they're not for sale or something. ;)

:( Wow... I don't know what I would have done a year ago with no Breeder section. So many came to my rescue when I needed help. It is really a very sad day when people ruin a really good thing. The breeders were so much more help than any book I could find and certainly more help than a vet... because they were just a click away. I understand because I even had reservations to posting about my Lilly (but you talked me into it!). It is obvious to all of us when someone comes in and has no intent on doing anything other than profiting, but you can tell because they don't participate any where else. For those of you who do find homes for your babies on YT... what the heck is wrong with that. Aren't we in a place where people love YORKIES!!!! By interviewing you can tell someone's heart. And, if they are willing to drive hours to get their baby (as I did) you know they are dying to have that baby. I think some of the best owners in the world are apart of the YT community so why wouldn't you want them to have one of your babies (of course weeding through the occasional internet weirdo/ scammer :eek: ).

I really do understand both sides... but can't we all just get along.

:thumbup: You are absolutely right. There are so many things to learn about caring for and breeding Yorkies, you can't possibly learn it all in a book. We should all work together to help each other, no matter if you are a hobby breeder or show breeder, we can all learn from each other.

I didn't realize that's what the nusery was for either. I thought it was only to show off you beautiful babies. I was going to post mine in there today. I had my website listed in my signature and YT admission messaged me and told me that I had to pay $25.00 to advertise on YT!!! I told them that I was not here to advertise and they took my website off of my signature. What's up with that? Has this happen to anyone else?

If you look at YT rules, I think you have to be a donating member to have your website in your signature. Not positive though.

Yes..we will never please everyone. Almost all of the posters hearts are in the right place. Its the minority that make the posts about the breeders...the Select breeders and even the nursery section. Dont let it bother you.

I think it would be wonderful if we could become donating members but I understand that some just are not able too. YorkieTalk provides a wonderful service and I know how difficult their job is. I, for one, really appreciate all that they do and all that they provide.
