You've got to remember that no vet knows it all. I really recommend you call around and get second opinions by other vets before you just automatically trust your vet. I normally trust the vets I take my pets too on most issues but I've got a mind of my own as well and often disagree on some things such as vaccinations, diet, etc. Sometimes you've got to do your own research and discuss it with your vet or multiple vets before you can be comfortable doing something. You've also got to remember that there are plenty of people that give bad advise...just because someone tells you they are an experienced breeder, how do you know? We're all hidden behind our computer screens for the most part...are those breeders going to be responsible for your dog if she dies from enclampsia? Just do your own research...
