| I've been looking for a biewer too. Not really looking, just wanted to know a good breeder just in case. I gotta convince my boyfriend. He seems to think 2 is enough, but I would like to get a few more yorkies. They are so ADDICTING!!!!! I've actually been thinking about breeding, probably within the next year, but I still have a lot to learn on that subject. I don't wanna jump into something I know nothing about!!! |

| There was post on here a while back that gave a reference to a website of a German Biewer breeder. There is Bella Cane and Stellaryorkies (Irene is a member her) and then Furkids up in Canada that i know of. Good luck. They are so pretty. |

| I know it's not "polite" to talk about prices, and even if I did, prices for even yorkies range from 600-2500 or more....but - I'm just so darn curious to know how much more, suspectedly, a biewer would be than getting another "regular" yorkie. If anyone knows, and it isn't too rude of me to ask I'm really considering a biewer for our next girl so am trying to get a $ amount in my head to know what to expect. ANYWAY, if anyone knows, PM me.

| Valerie, that is a great question. I am curious too. I did see one on puppyfind for $3000. That seems to be the starting price, I think.

| I would say about $2,500 to $3,500. That's the price range I usually see.

| Check out www.thefurkids.com . Adele has beautiful yorkies and biewers. I have been to her home and it was imaculate. The pups are very well cared for in her house and I can highly recommend her as I have one of her yorkies and my mother bought a biewer from her. He female prices start about $4500 and I think the males were $3500 or $4000, I can't remember. We had a vet check both pups and he said they were perfect. No hernias, no slippage in the joints but perfect lil pups. |

| Biewers I cannot figger out why talking money should be undesirable. Why would you and a breeder talk and not discuss price. I am up front with asking if the person has a "ballpark figure" they plan to pay for a puppy. If someone tells me they have, say, $500.00 I would not refer them to a breeder who charges a minimum of $1500.00. As for Biewers, I know that Bella Cane has an available one now. I do not know the price..that would be for you and she to discuss. I have 3 and I paid from $1850.00 to $3500.00 for them. That included shipping but I had to pay import taxes. For those interested in Biewers, please go to the Biewer web site and read the standard. Some of them are white all over except for a black spot or two and maybe a patch of tan. NOT every animal will meet the specific standard as they are living creatures and have their own uniqueness.. You can see some very good examples of 2 Biewers in my avatar, thanx to Villette. Also, some pics in the gallery. I would be happy to answer any PM's if someone wants to discuss this subject.. |

| Pricing You will pay for what you get in any breed. I have seen traditional yorkies sell for what the Biewers are selling for. Just make sure you get a hold of a good reputable breeder. There are bad breeders in this breed already floating around here in the states as well as in Germany. Good Biewers are hard to find out there since this breed is so new. I have been trying to find all the breeders here in the states and I think I have come up with 15 so far. I have spoke (or emailed ) everyone I find. Not happy with all I am finding. One breed was selling a female with a docked tail (this is part of their standard and never should done that) and she was asking $6000.00 for her. Then you will have to find a breeder that will sell you breeding rights. Oh, that isn't easy. I will be expecting my first litters the early this spring. And I will have to tell you that if I give out breeding right it will be slim to nothing, for the simple fact that some breeders are not staying with the standard set forth for these little doggies by Mr. Biewer the founder. I have waited for some of the top puppies and I don't want my efforts ruined by some unethical breeder. I just want everyone to be careful while shopping around for these wonderful dogs. You might have to pay a little more for a good one, but why not if you are getting quality. I personally have paid a little more for mine and after showing them with the IABCA my show results speak for my dogs. |
