| I guess you are right Diana, It's too bad that E.T. didn't do her research before she posted. Ilona has literally spent thousands of dollars out of her own pocket to help rescue dogs. She is to be commended for the work she does and never expects to be lauded. There are not too many like her and the dog world is a much better place with people like Ilona. |

As far as experience in breeding, I have been breeding top quality show dogs according to AKC standards for over 30 years. Biewers are still a new breed in USA and your point is????

| Thanks Cesar. I have spent thousands of dollars hiring private investigators, ads in newspapers, ads in the internet, posting ads thruout LA and Orange County Vetinarians offices, pet stores and animal shelters. They are a part of the family and it's a growing crime to steal toy breeds. Since I had no solid proof on the suspect, the police wouldn't do anything. But, then I got a email response from a lady who answered my ads and said that those look exacty like the dogs that she just purchased and she described my suspect, location and my dogs and everything matched....but then she refused to let me come see them to confirm they were mine. I offered her a reward and a puppy back, but she said "no" because she was already "attached" to them after a week and that they were already prespoiled. My private investigators traced her emails to get her address and phone number and after I printed out everything for the police, the police were stupid and emailed her that they wanted to "talk" to her about some poms that she recently acquired, she cancelled her email address and when we arrived at the house, there were no trace of any dogs. |

| Diana, I think that rather than be rude to new posters you should adopt a welcoming tone. If you are coming on here to attack new posters then I think that you should refrain from commenting. Everyone but you and Jan are in agreement that Ilona is a very reputable breeder. Please tell us what dealings you have had with Ilona that would cause you to try and side with someone that is trying to tarnish her reputation????? Do you know Ilona? Have you dealt with Ilona? If not why are you involved in this post???? |

| Well Diana. You never did clarify on who exactly were you referring to. As I mentioned early, I never said anything negative to Jan. But, if you were referring to Delightyorkies comment to Jan...well then, she has every right to say something because that IS Ilona! Either way, new poster or not, your tone is not welcoming at all. You, yourself, just started with biewers last year. How would you like it if people were rude to you? I saw that even on biewertalk.com that people had commented on your rudeness. Are you jealous or feel threatened or something? What do you have against Ilona? |

| In case it was overlooked, the OP of this thread has not logged onto YT in almost 2 months--hopefully by now she has found her answer. So I'm not sure why all the back and forth insults... It's no secret that the world of Biewers is currently filled w/ turmoil fueled by passionate people who strive to do what is best for the breed in their own eyes and as with any breed there are going to be varied opinions on 'who' is doing 'what' the 'right way.' What is blantantly obvious is that everytime the "B" word pops up here, a handful of members who never post on YT otherwise jump at the chance to start bickering, which tends to come in spurts--this is not the first thread regarding Biewers that has been dug up and bumped in recent days, only to be followed by arguing. Clearly there are personal issues that extend beyond YT so for the benefit of the members here (who don't care!) leave them there! The unfortunate part of the equation is this: People post on YT with an honest interest in Biewers and looking for information to better educate themselves on dogs that are still "new" to most of the Yorkie community. The people who are 'in the know' regarding the breed that could actually help them learn more are too busy trying to rip each other to shreds to notice! That being said, I don't know Ilona or anything about her program, her dogs, what she breeds, what position she holds with any breed clubs, what her favorite color is, shoe size and quite frankly, I don't give a rat's butt! Generally speaking, I think having mixes and advertizing teacups are known red flags worth pointing out in ANY case, regardless of who the breeder is. If you personally know the logical explanation regarding those concerns--and it seems that is the case here--by all means, share them and clear the air, but for the sake of everyone's sanity, check any personal strifes you may have at the door. | Bama, The post was made asking about Ilona and her program. Jan reopened it for who knows what reason other than to try and discredit Ilona. You say you don't give a rat's butt about what Ilona is all about but then you are not looking to buy a dog from her. So you are posting because???? |

I thought my reason for posting was clear...obviously not, so at the risk of being pointlessly redundant... I'm posting because it gets old not being able to discuss Biewers here without it errupting in an agument everytime about who is right. The same few members argue about Biewers everytime they are brought up here at YT, but never post otherwise, it gets old. It's not productive and it's not informative to anyone that is actually trying to learn about the breed. It accomplishes NOTHING except for a portrayal of the Biewer community as nothing but a bunch of crazy women with nothing better to do than argue with one another. It stems from issues that do not pertain to anything on YT so I don't get why it always seems to spill over here. Last edited by BamaFan121s; 05-22-2008 at 08:36 AM.

| Okay, I think BAMA, if I'm not mistaken, was trying to ask everyone to unruffle their feathers and get back to their own corners and let sleeping dogs lie. In the process, she may have inadvertently selected a few choice words that got misinterpreted as adding on to bashing Ilona's credibility. Overall, it is correct that newbies to YT should be welcomed...and just because they don't post, doesn't mean they are new to YT. They could have been lurking around for years, but have nothing more to input than what was already said or for whatever the reason. Some people want to stay clear away from the gossip and politics but are open to help people by just being a phone call or email away. You can easily find breeders on various search engines, breeder magazines, clubs etc. ![]() Others, who have nothing better to do, like to start trouble and enjoy watching what happens and they know exactly who they are. It's obvious that the intent was to stir the pot. It happens everywhere, not just breeder forums. ![]() I've also seen sooo many reputable breeders and handlers use the word "teacup" only because customers who are looking for "pet quality" are familiar with that term as being a small toy dog, but then the breeder/handler will educate them correctly. However, if someone advertises "teaspoon", then I would definitely worry. ![]() As far as the original poster, I believe she does still post and she definitely has purchased her puppy and she's happy. |

Not sure how anything I'd said could have been misinterpreted as adding on to anyone's bashing, but it was certainly not the intent. Thank you for noticing that.

| I purchased a Yorkie from Ilona 4 years ago and found her to be a very caring breeder. She will interview her prospective buyer because she wants her dogs to go to good homes that will take care of them. She does garantee her puppies and will take them back. When I was at her house she had a dog that had been badly injured by another dog, the owners were going to have him put down. Ilona took him back to live out his life with her and her family. Because of the injury the dog sort of walked sideways and wasn't "pretty" anymore, but he was not suffering and seemed happy. I thought that spoke volumes for Ilona. My dog is everything Ilona said she would be or would not be. Ilona told me Abby was a pistol and she is! Abby has been a great addition to our lives and is about to be and addition to others lives as a Therapy Dog - if she passes her test on Monday! She will, she has done great and soon will be making people who are in the hospital or nursing home feel just a little better on doggie visiting day. I hope you find your puppy. Good luck. |
