				   | Do any of you breeders have any books that you would recommend to someone wanting to begin researching breeding yorkies. I know a mentor is the best way to go but Id like some reading material also. Thanks

				   | I have several that I would recommend. Canine Reproduction and Whelping, A dog breeder's guide by Myra Savant Harris R.N. and the Joy of Breeding Your Own Show Dog by Ann Seranne are excellent to start with. Myra has a good Puppy Intensive Care Guide as well that comes with a dvd. How to Buy and Raise a Good Healthy Dog by Terri Shumsky covers a host of topics that pet owners as well as breeders will find handy. The complete Book of Dog Breeding by Dan Rice D.V.M. is not breed specific by full of useful info. Happy reading!!

				   | You might want to check on Ebay for some of those books. I have bought some very good Yorkie books on ebay in the past. |

				   | I just ordered the two by Myra Savant from amazon because so many others had recommended it. I already have the Joy of breeding your own show dog and I got that from amazon too. Last edited by tjdmom; 03-09-2008 at 09:30 AM. Reason: misspelling |

I would also recommend these 2 books. I got them both from amazon and paid 36.95 I believe and the shipping was free. Got them in about 5 days. Great books and easy to understand and read! | |
