AKC inspection
 
wanted to share, I had my first AKC inspection and PASSED with no issues...geeeeeeeeeeeee what a surprise! With the new regulations anyone that has 4 litters reg'd in one year will come up for random inspection.

Interesting a pet person knew about this inspection before I did sending emails around "I was going down" oops guess you were wrong! I for one am thrilled he came, perhaps this will stop all the rude, unfounded postings and emails circulating, hope youre feeling a BIT STUPID:)

It was quite a pleasant experience, Eugene Brennan took a tour of my home inside and out, checked my files, checked my dogs, DNA'd Hannah, JJ and Miracle for parentage purpose (which they randomly DNA puppies in the home)...

Ok that nasty malicous person needs a life. Glad that it all went well. Keep up the good work on bettering the breed.

Congrats we also had our first inspection last year and passed with no problem. We really enjoyed speaking with the fellows from AKC we had a nice visit.
I just hate when people take time from doing something productive *such as rescue etc* to be vendictive.

Not that I didn't already know this, but...Good job K! As if there were ever any doubts! I'm sure Miracle enjoyed sticking her little tounge out to impress him...and I'm sure the rest of the kids had fun showing off.

For as long as I've seen you post in YT, I could never imagine that you wouldn't pass an AKC inspection. I think that person spreading such a malicious rumor is very envious of you. Hope this put that person in their place.

how did you think this person knew about your upcoming visit..you think maybe they called akc and made some crap up?

well the best rumor was all my kids live in a dank, wet, moldy, basement, never allowed upstairs or the light of day...NOT! Im looking for the email now if I can find it I'll post it for you all to see:)

I have had two AKC inspections of my home and both times everything was perfect. I really appreciate AKC's effects to insure breeders are providing healthy clean environments and accurate breeding records. The AKC rep was very friendly.

I would welcome AKC...although I only have one litter a year and havent' been breeding long so my records are easy to keep :)
Glad that everything went smoothly for ya!! Some just need a life is all

AKC should do these inspections Im glad you passed and now that I know about this If I purchase another pup I will look for akc inspected kennels.
there will be a lot of breeders in trouble do they give you notice

That is so true...they kind of unknowingly gave kudos to your kennel and breeding program...such an idiot.

oh sure they give you notice they dont just knock on the door, BUT that being said, if your records and conditions are not up to regulations you can't fix them in just a couple days.

It's a double edged sword. Good for the potential buyers and good for the good breeders but a real PIA for the bad ones.

I can understand it's use but the vindictive person I can't. Her behaviour is despicable and it will come back on her two fold.

If they do not have your phone number on record then they will just show up. When they first came to my home they just showed up one day while I was out of town but my husband was home. My husband invited them in but they declined the invitation and they said they needed to talk to me since the dogs were all in my name only. They just asked my husband to have me call them when I got home. I called them the next day when I got home and we set up an appointment for the following day. I have to admit I was a little nervous because I had heard horror stories too but luckily I had everything in order because I had been told by another breeder exactly how to keep the records. When I had my second inspection (about 18 months after the first one) they called one day and set up an appointment for the following day.

Don't you just love when you can prove someone wrong?

Congrats on the inspection, of course you passed. So many of us rely on learning from good breeders like you. And now some of us won't fear the dreaded AKC inspection. :D

Kim, I'm sorry that someone had to be so nasty but as they say the proof is in the pudding. I don't know if it's jealousy or what but some people just love to try to stir up trouble. Good to be proved right, isn't it? Keep up the good work ( and I do know how much work it is).

Such hurtful stuff going on here, it just totally amazes me... like I could not imagine anyone on YT reporting any of you show breeders.. so little time on their hands.. shame on them for behaving like this..
