My heart goes out to you and I wish you well with which ever decision you decide.... :heart to |
I know after Bella had her first heat it took a little while for her nipples to go back to normal and she stayed a little swollen for a while so hopefully that's the case for you. No matter the outcome I wish you and your baby well:) |
Best thoughts and prayers coming your way. |
I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you!!! I know how bad you feel that this could of happened. I am sending my love and support in whatever you decide to do!!!! :big_hug: |
I hope everything turns out ok for you. My little girl Bella went to the Vet today. She is 10 months old. She started her first cyle - well it was 35 days ago and she is still swollen. The Vet explained that for some it is normal that they will continue to be swollen permanently and it will progressively get worse with each heat cycle. I did not know this. The Vet said she also could be having false pregnancy. I wish you the best...... Anyone who has bred their girls - have you experienced this with the physical changes after their heat cycle?? |
well, Chynnas one breast has mastitis, and she is on antibiotics, the tissue under the skin had taken on a slightly blueish tint so I KNEW it was infected... ugh! Being a Naked/hairless dog with Pink see-through skin it was easy to spot! We will see how it heals up, poor baby! He said that its common and happens alot! That its totally related to the hormones... And that fixing her will prevent from ever happening again. Thank goodness! I hope your lil one is ok... If its a false preg, like my Chynna is going through... watch her body, the vet said that a false preg can be just as hard on them as a real one, because it involves all the same hormones. |
How long has Chynna's cycle lasted? |
Any news about Poopanut yet? |
Can't wait to hear what your Vet has to say. I hope it's false pregnancy! |
Just wanted to say that you seem to have done everything you could have done to prevent this. And sometimes no matter what we do... s%$# happens, ya know. I definately wouldnt pay attention to anyone that might down talk you for this. Just be sure to do whats best for you and your pup , because thats what matters :) |
I called the vet and he told me to bring her on in and let him look at her. He said he is about 90% sure it is a false pregnancy as he didn't feel anything. BUT ghe also added that he'd been wrong before. We went ahead and scheduled her appt to get spayed in 2 weeks. |
You did eveything you could. Don't feel bad. Hopefully the vet has good news for you. I too hope its just a false pregnancy |
Good Luck, I hope it is a false pregnancy and that she gets spayed asap ... you have done all you can for her and having her spayed will be the best gift at this point. You are a good mommy! |
