Is this okay? Okay, I posted earlier that Fancy was in heat. She has been bleeding all day, but now there is no thing. Is this normal? Is she suppose to bleed continuous or off and on? |
For most females, they start to come into standing heat once the bleeding stops. Are you sure she just started going into heat today or has she been in heat for a while? Some females don't bleed at all and I'm sure others bleed so lightly that they keep themselves clean and its not noticeable. I asked this in your other thread but you haven't responded. Have you already had her and the male tested and screened for everything? You really need to do this before you breed them. |
Let me just say...if she is in standing heat, your male will KNOW. ;) |

I don't want to sound harsh but it sounds like you have alot more homework to do before you consider becoming a breeder. I would suggest that you skip this heat and do some more studying so that you will be better prepared for this endeavor. Breeding these angels is very serious business, you could be adding to the overpopulation problem, putting your gals life in danger and could even be adding to the downfall of this breed. Make sure that your dogs are excellent examples of the breed, that they and their ancesters are free from genetic issues, and that you know all that you need to know to ensure that your gal and her pups have a safe and healthy whelping. |
Arent't you the lady that was keeping the dogs outside? Sorry if I am mistaken but based on those threads I feel you really need to do a lot of research before you jump right in and start breeding. There is a whole lot more to it than just letting them be together. Again, I apoligize if I am wrong. |

You two ladies said what ALOT of others are thinking! I couldn't agree more! I hope all is not falling on deaf ears, but I'm afraid that might be the case. (This is one of those situation where I am really having to sit on my hands here.:( ) |

Aren't we supposed to be helping?! Wasn't it agreed that it's better to be helpful because she's asking questions and trying to learn. It shouldn't matter if she's a hobby breeder or backyard breeder, she's asking for help on something that she'll do with or without YT. Sorry, you couldn't hear what I was saying - had to use the fingers! |

Is seems that most everyone here is already against me and will not answer my questions so I will continue to talk to the ones that are friendly and will answer my questions and not continue to bash me...It is so sad that alot of people on here doesn't have a life and all they have to do is bash everyone's questions..because they know EVERYTHING!!!!! And it wasn't last week when I came on here either it has been about 3 weeks.... |
I just REALLY hope you health screen these dogs first...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do this. It is not fair to bring unhealthy dogs into this world. It's not fair for the dog or the new owner. PLEASE make sure your dogs are 100% healthy and sound BEFORE you breed. If that means skipping this heat to get it done first, please do that. |
