When my girls are closer to their due date I start taking their temps 3 times a day at the same time each day so I know exactly when the drop takes place and for how long. Once it drops and stays down for 12 hours (aprx) then they will normally whelp within the next 24 hours. Mine normally drop down into the 98 range.

It is going to be a real guessing game with her. If she bred on Jan. 12 then she would be at 49 days and have at least 12 days to go but we don't know for sure if it happened then. Her mammary glands are sure developed. She might be carrying more pups than the vet thought and that would account for her size. Are you usually home most of the time?

the whinning would worry me. she does look pregnant.

there is nothing more that i can say except i hope everything works out for you.
without knowing much more, you just need to keep an eye on her (which you already know).
you don't want to take her temp too much but if you don't have a due date, i don't know what to say.

yeah thats what i thought too. thank you for you all your help. i figure i start taking the temp just os i could get an idea of where i stand. but i guess i'll have to get some other sign thats a little more concrete! i'm home all day.
