| Even though it is in the wrong section it is a good topic!!! I have two silkies...one that is kinda inbetween cottony-wooly....and one that is just course!!!! So my question is...can you tell from when they are a puppy what they will be like? |

| I knew with both of mine they were both silky..The one is 5 now, and I just had her hair cut the other day for the first time...It was easy to comb out, but, I would take them outside and with the leaves, she would get leaves all over in her hair, so, finally just had her clip her down... I put the thread about coat types in the general section |

| Usually those super fluffy, little fur ball puppies will be soft coated as adults. Thinner, straight coat as puppy will usually be silky as an adult.
