| Very Important Question... I Have A Question For All Of You, I Am Looking For A Female For Breeding. Not Only Am I Looking For Quality And Health I Am Looking For Looks To. See My Stud Is Small And Compact. He Is Low To The Floor. I Love His Looks. I Am Looking For That In A Female Also. I Went To Se A Female And She Was Beautiful, Wonderful Attitude, Loved The Breeder. But...........her Legs Are Long. Is That A Bad Thing? Do They Go Through That Stage, Because Tucker Did Not. I Loved Her, And I Feel Bad Cause I Am Fighting With Myself. Part Of Me Wishes I Just Took Her Home And The Other Part Says Go With My Instincts??? Tell Me What You Think??????????? Help........ Renae

| How old is this girl you are looking at? What were the dam and sire (and other dogs in the pedigree) like? Is there a mentor you are working with that could go with you and offer an opinion? |

| Hmm...that's a crap shoot really. She may, she may not. It's really impossible to pick a dog at that age and be certain they can/should be bred down the line. You could take a chance and *hope* she ends up being what you want, but you may be setting yourself up for dissapointment if she isn't. How old is your male? If you are dead set on breeding, I would give him time to mature COMPLETELY, have him evaluated and then search for a female that will compliment him. You may be better off searching for a slightly older girl--easier to ascertain what qualities she is developing. In the meantime, you need to find a mentor who is well seasoned with Yorkies who can help guide you and teach you what to look for. |
