Thank you so much ladies for your informatio...I would like to apologize for hurting you so bad....I have gone out got my sweet babies and brought them in!!! They are warm and having a blast! I thought I was doing the right thing by not having them in my house with my two children and I thought they would be fine...I was wrong...I didn't think it through. Well, I am about to start bathing and groom them up a little bit. Thank you all...I hope you except my apology and you will accept me into this forum if I ever need help. |

To the OP--you came here asking if anyone else keeps their dogs outside. As you can see, the overwhelming response is "no". This is not healthy, safe, or emotionally fit for yorkies. I do hope that you'll look closely at the responses and advise given here and reconsider. Please don't endanger the lives of these little babies just for some "extra cash". It is not worth the risk. If you aren't able to keep them inside and give them the love and attention they deserve, perhaps you could look into rehoming them and then do some more research before attempting to start a breeding program? The people here at YT would be more than willing to teach you about the correct way to breed, the yorkie standard, what is right and wrong, genetic diseases and testing, etc. They can give you tips and advise and THEN you can decide if this is really for you. Breeding is a huge decision and one that should not be rushed. Please keep the best interest of these dogs in mind! You got an answer, you've been given the correct information, now you just have to choose to do the right thing... |

However, I want to urge you to please continue to read and research before deciding to breed. |
Personally I could never keep a dog outside whether a small dog or a big dog. I mean really what is the point in keeping a dog outside? You don't get the same interaction, companionship and love from them, you aren't out there all the time to enjoy them. What if one of them got sick but only showed occasional symptoms? You wouldn't know it because you aren't living outside with them. All of my furbabies are strictly kept inside with me where they eat, play, and sleep with me. I couldn't have it any other way and I certainly could never keep them outside. I won't even let them go outside to play unless I am there with them outside watching them the whole time. |
Most of us all think of our yorkies as part of our families. Would you leave your kids outside? We know where the bad names come from "Puppy Mills". But buying them not to save them but to do the same thing is really sad. Most of us would never buy yorkies from someone that breed in this manner. Those yorkies deserve love and attention as well as the babies. I never buy a yorkie that I haven't been right where they live all the time. We have too many people that will tell you anything you want to hear. And if you want to know something read around the forums and learn how most people feel before talking if you don't want to hear the truth. Sometimes the truth isn't want you want and then you feel like everyone is being rude to you. Sorry but most of these people are going to answer you straight up if you ask. No bending for special people. |
