My point was only that the mere fact that a vet in another area doesn't recommend the exact same schedule doesn't mean they don't know what they're doing. What I quoted was directly from the website you referenced. I don't think its untrue to state that the need for certain vaccines varies by area of the country, as her comments make clear. And I didn't say to go with what any vet said, I said the top veterinary experts in your area. I definitely agree that many vets are not up-to-date on current research in this area. (btw, just to clarify, most puppies get the antibodies from the mother, but not all.) | |

| My breeder didn't get her pups wormed, I didn't know until recently that it was an old wives tale that all pups are born with worms..if the mother dog doesn't have worms, the pups don't have them..when I took mine in for the first set of shots when I got her, no worms...I had the vet worm her anyway just for the heck of it.. |
