| Heat cycle for the books I bought a female in mid may & she was in heat, just starting. I waited the 11 days & bred her every other day for 3 times. Waited 2 months & nothing but noticed her vulva stayed enlarged. She has been flirting & enlarged ever since & I have bred her 2 wks ago & again today. She excepted the male both times. Today she did look like the vulva was not so large. Has anybody ever heard of such.

| cycle If she does not have a litter..I would ask the vet to check for a cyst on the ovary. A breeder once called me and said her female had been in heat for 2 months, wouldn't go out. Vet found a cyst. Has she had a litter prior to this strange heat? |

| Thanks Pat. She is 1&1/2 years old & has not had a any puppies. I don't know if they tried to breed her before or not. I will have her checked out. She seems to be going out now, will be anxious to see if she bred. Thanks for your response. Linda

| When I had a stud, a woman brought her proven bitch over, one big girl, and she fought her usual fight but finally stood for Mckenzie. We bred them twice and went on our way. 2 weeks laterI got a call from the hooman and she said Ginger was "all swolledup". We repeated the breedings and she had puppies from the second mating.. |
